Giuliani criticized for speaking at 9/11

Here is the article I read, and just so you know, I don't typically use articles from a right-wing news station but I found this one and it made my mind wander.

This article discusses presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani and his upcoming speech at ground zero on 9/11. Now I'm not usually a supporter of republicans, however I was taken back by how harsh people are against Mr. Giuliani. As Americans many people think that if you are running for public office everything you do is for your political gain. In this article it definatly comes out, however I am a bit skeptical. I believe yes many candidates do things to further their politcal careers but in this case I really believe he isn't doing this for that reason. Mr. Giuliani will always be remembered for his actions on 9/11 as the New York City mayor. If nothing else comes of his political career, that will always be what he is remembered by. That is one of the reasons why I am a bit skeptical that he is speaking at ground zero is for political gain. The other thing that makes me even more skeptical is he has done this for the past 5 years. Its tradition, I'm sure he will always be asked to speak on that anniversary.
So my mind wandered to the reasons why the American people are so skeptical of their politicians. My mind didn't have to wander for very long just for the fact of the answer is one of those DUH you didn't know that answers. People (and yes I am including myself in this, because there really isn't anyone who doesn't fall in this category) only see the bad things politicians do. Flip to any political news show, open any news paper, listen to any radio station all you hear is how our political leaders aren't doing right. This week we have heard about a Senator engaging in lewd activity in a public restroom, Hillary Clinton taking campaign donations from a wanted person, George Bush tossing another loyal member of his cabinent out the door. So heck yes people are going to be skeptical of politicians. All they ever do is the wrong thing, right? Well much of the non-civicly engaged public believe that answer is yes. And thats why people are so critical of politicians. So my words to the public, back off they are only human too. Yes there are dirty politicians, but if you really look and research you will find that most of them are good citizens that want to help their home states. And in this case with Rudy Giuliani, just let him be. Its practice that nobody campaigns on 9/11 and if you do that is just tactless. So breaking out of character, I'm going to say listen and believe him when he says he will not discuss his political campaign.
